Mukti is a National level annual technical symposium on Linux and related Free and Open Source Software(FOSS) to be held on January11-13,2008 at NIT Durgapur,West Bengal. Kurukshetra ’07 was a resounding success with Cognizant Vice Chairman, Lakshmi Narayanan and R.V. Perumal, Director, Liquid Propulsions Systems Centre of ISRO flagging off the festivities. Thousands of participants converged at Anna University to stake their claim for the Rs .9 lakh prize money.

Techstar-2009 - National Level Technical Paper Presentation Contest
The purpose of the Paper Presentation Contest is to encourage students to experience the
Research in the topics given for the contest and to give them an opportunity to participate and let them have exposure to the industry experts and fellow contestants. This activity helps the contestants to boost their confidence which may help in lot of other areas.
Prizes: Scholarships worth Rs. 6, 00, 000.
Participation Criteria:
There is no registration fee for participation
This contest is open for all engineering, science and management students in India viz., BE / B Tech, M Tech, MCA , MSc and MBA
Topics and paper submission at http://betechs.com/techstar/
Submission of Technical papers will open from 1st Nov and ends on 31st Dec 2009.
Up to a maximum of 200 best Technical papers will be selected by a Committee of Experts/Jury and selected students will be called at a designated place in Hyderabad
For Final contest for participating, final participants will be issues certificate of participation, National Level winners will be awarded cash prizes by the Chief Guests on March 2010
Rules and Regulations
1) The word limit of the abstract is 200 words and that of the full paper is 6000 words.
2) The last two titles of the paper should necessarily be Conclusion and References.
3)Paper should be incorporated with Figures, Tables, Expressions, Appendix if any etc.
5) The decision of the judges shall be treated as final and binding on all.
6) The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit. Change in rules, if any will be highlighted on the website and notified to the registered participants.
7) In this event the participants will have to present their technical paper in front of the judges and the audience. Audience and judges are free to interact with participant regarding the paper.
8) This event is introduced to develop the presentation skills of the students and provide a platform to expose their new ideas and thoughts regarding the respective subjects.
9) The coordinators reserve the right of rejecting any paper following deviation of the paper from the given format
